Introduction
Over the last few decades renewable energy has started to gain its ground. Of all the different kinds of alternative energy sources available, the use of wind power has been growing steadily. Home owners have since adpoted to DIY wind projects. However, the task of building a wind turbine from ground up is no easy task. Most DIY wind turbines availalbe in the market today have a lot of mechanical flaws and are not visually attractive. Not only does the unsightly turbine attracts much complains, but flaws that were never addressed will result in frequent maintenance and headaches, which eventually leads to abandonment / cancelation of the project. Since there are a lot of room for imporovment, we have designed a new wind turbine - the Patriot to bring things up to par. To name a few, this turbine features Built-in Slip Ring to prevent cable tangling, Anti vibration system to increase power efficiency. More details / features will be available below:

Connection Overview:
The Wind Generator is connected to the 3 Phase Rectifier, which changes the Alternative Current output by the generator to Direct Current (AC to DC). Electricity generated by the wind turbine are then stored to batteries. Note: the 12V Batteries above are not included.
If your home or farm is connected to the power grid, on windier days you may be able to sell excess power generated by your wind turbine to your utility. At other times when the turbine cannot generate all the power you need, you would buy power from the grid. This concept is called net metering.
Even if net metering is unavailable, you might be able to reduce your power bills by using the electricity generated by wind turbines, and become less dependent on your utility.

This turbine utilize Neodymium (permanent) magnets in its alternator rotor and has a built in rectifier and body heatsink to allow large amount of current to pass through.
