DESCRIPTION AND CONDITION
Up for sale is a vintage Nancy Ann Storybook Bisque NASB Doll # 116 "Little Red Riding Hood". It is in it’s original box and still has the tag. It measures about 5.5 inches tall.
Nancy Ann operated from 1936 until 1971 and was founded by Nancy Ann Abbott in San Francisco, California.  The first small dolls were made of all bisque, later dolls are made of hard plastic. I think this one is from the 1930’s early 1940’s based on it is made of bisque with a one piece body with frozen legs & painted facial features and jointed at arms.
There is some aging with some spots/staining on the dress.  The hair or hood was glued to the side of the face and a separated and the area of the exposed face is white. The hair is disheveled. There are some manufacturing flaws. The box has a taped corner on the lid and there is some soiling and other wear along with yellowing from aging. There is a musky odor. I mainly sell used older items including antiques, collectibles and oddities so please expect some signs of wear from use.
