Description
I just purchased this vintage Morgantown Glass pitcher from a local estate here in Central Virginia. The pitcher was produced as part of the West Virginia glass factory's "Crinkle" / No. 1962 line which was introduced in the 1940's. This is the "Okner" 50 ounce pitcher / jug which is beautifully executed in "Emerald" Green which shows bright color and excellent clarity. The piece has a striking Modernist / Art Deco inspired design with crisp detail to the heavily textured surface. The pitcher measures 8" high, 7 ½" wide at the handle and 5 ½" deep. The piece is in excellent condition with no damage or noted wear. This handsome Okner jug would make a fine addition to any collection of vintage Morgantown Crinkle / Seneca Driftwood glassware or Mid Century / Eames Modern inspired décor.
