He has created around 227 bookplates, and his decorative talent has been praised again and again. In 1924 he began to study art history and received his doctorate in 1928 with a thesis on Gothic clay sculptures. In 1931 he ended his artistic activity and worked exclusively as a journalist. Blum (2007, p. 4) writes: "Today, Dr. Hubert Wilm's bookplates are among the best works at the beginning of the 20th century. Century and are accordingly sought collector's items. "- Minimally stained.
